Seven Kingdoms: The Deadly Pea
Something sinister approaches the Land of Hath...
Two twisted men corner a young maiden and are about to steal from her. They slowly converge in the middle of the dark city streets in an open courtyard with the faint lamps gleaming in the night. The two men are about to lung at the poor young woman and do other horrible things to her.
“Don’t worry, we’ll be gentle,” the one ugly fat thug says with a blade shining in the evening’s light. “Hand over some silver!”
“We won’t ask again,” the skinny one says miserably.
The young maiden clutches her wallet and looks around the dark alleyway. As she cries out she suddenly sees a dark shadow above the men.
Fear grips her as the shadow pounces like a lion onto the two thugs. The dark figure slits their throats quickly and nimbly evading their gross slimy hands.
They lay motionless in their blood on the hard earth.
The dark-robed figure rises. The hooded young maiden lifts up her little dagger at the shadow, out of fear.
“Don’t… I have a knife!”
But it turns and looks at her appearing in the light. Slowly it walks and reveals her identity as the maiden collapses on her knees. “Oh, princess! I didn’t realize…”
“Hush, now,” the young princess says quickly gazing around the empty area. Her silver eyes shine in the lamplight. “You are safe. The protection of Hath is upon you.” She turns leaving her in the night.
“Princess?”
