Horror MashUp
Dreams reflect reality…

I wake up in a creepy dilapidated and abandoned house. I always wake up in the same abode, always in the corner of the second story looking out the window. The bars hold me captive inside with no escape, to never let me out.
In the dark and mysterious room, small trinkets and wooden toys surround the bizarre space. Weird and ugly masks hang on the walls. Shrunken heads all tied together in bundles by their hair with distorted and nasty visages, hang from the rafters and windows. Tools of all kinds are hanging on the white-washed dirty walls all adorned with dirt and soot. Saws, drills, hammers, and nails are scattered around a little workbench with a single light flickering. The only light source in the dark room.
I try the door but it is locked, and I try cutting the barred windows but nothing I do ever works. Cutting into the doors with the saws trying to do any damage to it, it doesn’t budge. I am trapped and alone.
Yelling out, no sound comes out of my mouth.
A light flicks on suddenly down a narrow passageway, I see a red door with someone or something knocking on the other side of it.
Knock, knock, knock, knock.
My heart thumps along with the pounding.
Knock, knock, knock, knock.
Then nothing after a moment. Silence. Bleak silence.
I breathe heavily and I back up not wanting to know who is at the door.
Knock, knock, knock, knock.
I grab a hammer and raise it. I try to call out but nothing comes out of my mouth again. Useless as before.
The knocking subsides. Then I turn seeing the door where I want to escape from is no longer there. The windows in the room are all gone as the walls start to close in on me.
Screaming in fury again, I find it as pointless as before. The walls slowly verge inward.
Knock, knock, knock, knock.
I don’t want to go to that dreadful scarlet door but it is my only escape from being squished. As slow as a snail the white walls move in on me to kill and crush my bones.
Rushing, I race down the dark hallway.
Knock, knock, knock, knock.
I turn the knob quickly and rush in like a spiny spider.
Darkness.
The door closes behind me and I can’t open it. Roughly and with force I try to break it down with my shoulder but there’s no give.
A light turns on. And I am back in the same room, with the same door and the same tools and workbench earlier. The windows and the dirty walls with evil masks hanging from the rafters stare down at me wickedly with laughter.
The door glares at me with its mocking crimson glint.
Knock, knock, knock, knock.
Abruptly, I wake up in a cold sweat as my heart again pounds with the rhythm of the rapping. Now, in my waking hours, the door to my room knocks rapidly.
Knock, knock, knock, knock.
Louder this time and increasing in speed and force, I get up quickly afraid of who is behind it. It creaks open on its rusty hinges.
But nothing is behind it except the same room in my dream. The same damn room in my nightmare.
My bedroom door shuts behind me suddenly. It is locked just like in my dream as I scream and yell incessantly, but it is forever locked. I wail on the door but it’s fortified with steel.
I turn and see the exact same room in my dream with the shriveled heads and small wooden souvenirs on the workbench. And the long dark passageway with the same blood-red door.
Knocking rapidly for eternity.
Knock, knock, knock, knock.
