Killer
I stare into his hallow eyes with no remorse, no fear, no compassion empty of anything resembling humanity.
Taking my knife, I hold it up to the moonlight in the blackened kitchen. I try to see the reflection from behind the island countertop.
Then I spot him finally. His reflection walks slowly towards the kitchen door.
Clawing the walls with his knife, he walks aimlessly but with a purpose: To murder me.
I stand up and rush upon him, but he is stronger as I cling and am thrown across the darkened room. He comes back with an evil presence. Strength is his ally while mine is fear.
I stare into his hallow eyes with no remorse, no fear, no compassion empty of anything resembling humanity. He has me pinned by his bulging forearm impaling my neck as he chokes me, but I stab him slightly and he loosens his grip.
Now I have him. Stabbing him in the stomach, he writhes on the wooden floor. Relentlessly, I hack away while he reaches for his weapon grunting in the scarlet pool. Fury is his downfall, mine is bloodlust.
Stabbing him viciously and mercilessly hacking away into oblivion, he stops wiggling. His breathing ceases.
I fall to the floor as I see the red and blue light. The cop cars, I hear. Sweet relief falls over me. Then I am drowned in his red liquid and my sweat.
“Police! Get down, get down! This is the police!”
Four cops swarm in and see the bloody corpse lying on the frigid floor. A red puddle.
“Don’t move, don’t move!”
“Alright, no, no, I’m guilty! He was trying to kill me!”
“Real nice! We know who you are Creton!”
“What? Yes, that’s my name. But what-”
“Don’t move!” The cop shouts and points his gun in my face. I’m confused.
The three others circle the murderer and see he’s dead. Unmoving, bloody, stab wounds cover his corpse.
“You killed him, you sick bastard! And his girlfriend!” The one tall cop says accusing me.
“No, she’s my girlfriend! He killed her and he was gonna kill me, if I didn’t do anything!”
Two suited agents come with handguns drawn. “We know who you are, Mr. Creton!”
“What’re you talking about!” I scream furiously. They don’t understand. I don’t understand.
Quickly, they cuff me and drag me away out into the night putting me inside the cop car.
